15th August, Independence Day Speech - For Students!

Date - 15th August, 2024.

Respected dignitaries, management authorities, Respected Principal Sir, Respected Teachers, and dear friends,

First of very good morning to all, and very very, " Happy Independence Day"

Today, as we have gathered here to celebrate the seventy-seventh anniversary of our nation's independence, we are reminded of the sacrifices and struggles that led to this historic day, August 15, 1947.

Our freedom was not handed to us easily. It was earned through the relentless efforts of countless freedom fighters who laid down their lives, endured unimaginable hardships, and fought with unwavering determination. Leaders like Mahatma Gandhi, who championed the path of non-violence and civil disobedience, Subhas Chandra Bose, who inspired many with his call for armed struggle, Bhagat Singh, who became a symbol of youth and rebellion, and many others who fought on different fronts but with a common goal – the liberation of India from British rule. At the same time, along with our freedom fighters, every Indian soul equally contributed to the freedom struggle, supported and encouraged them, to make India free from British Rule which lasted more than 150 years of slavery.

The road to independence was paved with struggles like the Jallianwala Bagh massacre, where innocent lives were lost but the spirit of resistance grew stronger. The Salt March, which started as a simple act of defiance, became a nationwide movement. And the Quit India Movement, where the call for "Do or Die" resonated across the country, uniting people from all walks of life in the fight for freedom.

Since gaining independence, our nation has made remarkable progress in various fields. From being an agrarian economy to becoming one of the fastest-growing economies in the world, India's journey has been nothing short of extraordinary. We have become a leader in technology, space exploration, and renewable energy. It is worth noting fact that recently we have successfully accomplished the Chandrayan and Mars Mission. Our advancements in science, healthcare, industry, infrastructure, banking, digitalization, sports, agriculture, education, and almost every spare of life have improved the quality of life for millions and have put India on the global map as a nation of innovators and thinkers. Today, it is a proud moment that, we became the 5th largest economy in the world. Today, Hon'ble Prime Minister Shri. Narendra Modiji has given a mission that by 2047, we will become the third-largest economy in the world, and India will be Viksit Bharat ( Developed India), definitely, it will be the best way to celebrate 100 years of successful independence.

However, as we celebrate our achievements, we must also acknowledge the challenges ahead. We still have a long way to go in ensuring that the benefits of our progress reach every citizen, regardless of their background. High population, Poverty, inequality, unemployment, corruption, child labor, low agriculture yield as compared to developed countries, high imports, low exports, and global issues like global warming, climate change, and sustainable energy continue to be issues that need our attention, and India must address this with urgency. Regarding climate change and global warming, India started a campaign like, Ek Ped Maa ke Naam, ( One Tree in honor of Mother) this year, and it is getting a huge response all across the country, millions of trees have already been planted to combat Global warming and climate change. At the same time, we are trying hard to minimize carbon footprints or zero carbon emissions.

As we look to the future, our goals must be clear. We must strive for inclusive growth, where every citizen has the opportunity to succeed. We must continue to invest in education and healthcare, ensuring that our young population is equipped to lead the nation into the future. We must also work towards a sustainable environment, preserving our natural resources for generations to come.

I think we need to put more effort into the field of Research and Development ( R&D) because by that we will be able to produce or manufacture advanced goods and commodities, which would create huge opportunities for our unemployed population, minimize poverty, increase exports, and minimize imports. Today, Indian Brains are largely contributing to the world's periphery, and are being appreciated and honored. Only, we need to maximize our efforts in every field and put our 100%.

So today, it is our foremost duty to give our sincere tribute to our great martyrs, let us remember the sacrifices of our freedom fighters and honor their legacy by building an India that they would be proud of. An India that is strong, prosperous, and united. Let us work together to achieve the dreams of our forefathers and make our nation a beacon of hope and progress for the world.

Thank you very much for allowing me to express my feelings on the auspicious occasion of 15th August.

Jai Hind! Jai Bharat !
