 The Birdhouse - Shelter colony for birds!

Today, I came across news about making a birdhouse in "Ujjain, "a very well-known city of "Mahakaleshwar," which is about 55 feet high, and it will accommodate about 2000 birds. It is made by "Mr. Vaghji Bhai," who is the chairperson of the trust known as "Shri Ram pigeon house trust ".And according to him, he got the inspiration to make the birdhouse when he observed how and to what extent the shelter of pigeons had been destroyed. He was very touched by that and decided to spend the rest of his life on such a noble cause. And for 40 years, he has continuously indulged himself in making birdhouses in different cities of India, such as Somnath, Nageshwar, and Dakorji, all are holy places of Lord Shiva. In concern, he added that in a normal birdhouse of this pattern, it exists about 60 -70 small shelter homes or compartments which is likely to be occupied by a pair or three birds such as house sparrow, cuckoo, common hawk, purple sunbird, crow, pigeon, and baya weaver, etc and on the floor a due place to feed the birds.

For a few decades, we were used to waking up in the morning with the pleasant chirping sounds of birds, and we were so accustomed to it that we used to leave the bed after listening chirping sound of the birds. But in the name of modernizing civilization and infrastructure, we started cutting old and big trees, whatever comes in our way, and thus depriving different species of birds of their natural habitats. In the absence of it, where would these innocent flying creatures go? They either took shelter in high buildings, towers, or even on balconies, where they never felt safe. Moreover, the birds are unable to trace out their shelters because of the increasing radiation that exists in the atmosphere. And this is not only the case with birds alone, but applicable to wild animals too! because we are continually interfering in the name of studies or research. So the million-dollar question is " where would they go"? A warm and safe shelter is a basic need of every single creature, as we are.

What can we do? 

Many bird lovers make small bird nests in their balconies, terraces, or backyards, and that is truly appreciable too. But a very high structure with many compartments will serve the purpose in a better way, because of safety reasons, many birds prefer to make their nests in high places. If more and more birdhouses were erected in different cities, it would not only be a visual treat to commoners but also to the bird lovers, of course, with a due place on the floor to feed them. Does it sound good? Indeed, it will be! Just imagine a colony of 2000 birds living together!

Where such a high birdhouse can be located:

Erecting birdhouses, parks, or green fields are ideal areas where there will be no pollution of any kind, especially noise pollution, which may distract the birds.

Conclusion:

So this new concept of a high " Bird House " would definitely prove to be a warm, safe place to live. And in such birdhouses, they will happily accommodate themselves without caring "Who is living next door to me?" and develop their own ecosystem and very soon we will make every morning more beautiful, hopeful, and pleasant with delicate notes of a variety of birds altogether in the midst of concrete jungle which was our normal lifestyle before some year. After all, it is our responsibility to take care of these beautiful creatures who make the blue sky different colors and patterns. It is very delightful to watch flocks of birds at one place because once they find their shelter, they will fly away in the morning and come back in the evening.
