1. It is basically an Israeli cyber firm called NSO. This is spyware or malware is used for spying on mobile phones, computers, or any electronic gadgets, and very skillfully data or some important information is hacked and given to the clients without knowing to the user. This is a very well-developed software by which it can hack any data like listening call, email, password, WhatsApp, or even can detect the location of the user. some spyware can click on the camera or microphone in a device. This spyware is very costly and very few clients can afford its services like different countries, militants, or any terrorist or criminal groups. Pegasus normally targets some special or influential personalities but not the common man. Recently much hullabaloo has been created in India as it was supposed that some political figures were targeted by Pegasus but the truth behind is yet to come and be analyzed. According to some computer intelligence, the expert maximum number of smartphones have the same kind of software which can easily be targeted by such Spywares. And in the future, it may become commercialized on domestic fronts also which will have adverse effects. It came to light from a single leaked database thousands of phone numbers were hacked. Now it has been spread in many countries like Singapore, South Africa, Switzerland, the U.S, the UK, Kuwait, Canada, Brazil, France, Mexico, Poland, Netherland, and many more. Big IT companies big like apple, Google, Microsoft, and Amazon Web are continuously trying to make effective and appropriate changes in their operating systems but such malware is so well designed that it can not be destroyed wholly. In such a case how one can protect a device from hacking.

Few safety measures to be adopted to protect our devices:-

1. Normally passwords are fixed on the date of birth or their pet's name. one should keep passwords very unique and different.

2. Do not click on unauthorized or unknown links.

3. Regular updating of different apps is necessary as newly designed software has strong safety and protective measures.

4. Downloading different apps from other or unauthorized sources may be dangerous. one should go for Playstore or Appstore.

5. Use of VPN(a virtual private network) is recommended in public networking areas.

6. Do not share your mobile no, pin no, email, OTP, or any personal details on social media.

    Recently some authorities of the Israeli government visited the firm to inspect the allegations made by worldwide media groups regarding misuse of its spyware but in reply, they denied and proved to be fully transparent and against any misusing surveillance of mobile phones.
